Reflections and experiences of a Muslim mother. I started this blog to share some of my experiences as a new mom. At that time I had a daughter age 4 and a son age 2. Since then our family has expanded. My 3 children are now 16, 14 and 10 years old. Raising them has been every bit as rewarding as it has been challenging.
For the last 8 years I have homeschooled my children. Again the reward and again the challenge! But I love challenges. I love feeling that I am helping to build not just their educational foundation but also their Islamic one.
I love hearing from others on this journey. Please feel free to comment and I will do my best to respond. You can also continue the conversation by joining the MommyMuslim Facebook group.https://www.facebook.com/groups/701687213752206
If you are interested in homeschooling I recommend my book; “7 STEPS TO START YOUR MUSLIM HOMESCHOOL”. This book has information that will help any Newbie get started. It includes my personal “Quick Start Guide, for those who need to get started tomorrow! It also includes over 100 links to help both the Newbie and the more experienced homeschooler as well.
I have also written two writing prompt journals to help your children practice their essay writing skills:
